Liquid Cosmos Divers is owned and operated by a marine biologist and professional underwater photographer who are passionate about exploring and protecting our oceans

What We Do

We specialize in developing customized diving experiences that explore the beautiful and pristine Kohala coast coral reefs. Our small group charters allow us to tailor the dive trip to your wants and needs, and we are able to explore remote areas of the coastline where no other operators go. Liquid Cosmos Divers’ highly experienced crew has extensive knowledge of Hawai`i’s coral reefs and is passionate about educating our divers on the reef ecosystem. We provide thorough briefings and de-briefings, as well as in-the-moment underwater interpretation of the reef, leaving our divers with a deeper understanding and connection to the reef.

We are passionate about marine conservation and contribute to the protection of our reefs by regular reef clean-ups, donating 1% of all sales to local marine conservation efforts, respecting marine wildlife with a no-touch policy, minimizing plastics and other waste, and spreading conservation awareness to all of our divers. We also actively support and participate in local marine research.

Our Crew

Jess

Jess is a marine biology Ph.D. student at the University of Hawaiʻi studying how nutrient enrichment affects coral reefs. She is a scuba instructor, scientific diver, and underwater photographer.

Mike

Mike is a professional underwater photographer, scuba instructor, commercial diver, and USCG captain. Before becoming a scuba professional he was a pre-vet student and a drummer in a death metal band.

Noe

Noe is a Hawaiʻi born scuba instructor, an ICU R.N., and holds a B.S. in Biology with an Ecology emphasis. She is currently studying for her USCG captain’s license.

Our Vessel

Our vessel, Moonshine, is the newest dive boat on the Big Island! Designed by Mike and Jess and built by Inventech Marine Solutions, she is a custom 31’ LifeProof Boat that is the perfect adventure vessel.
